Overview

Location: Altair, TX

Performs maintenance duties at the aggregates shop which includes but is not limited to welding and fabrication, mechanical maintenance, and general labor. The candidate must have specific knowledge of moving machinery parts and the dangers they pose.   Individual must possess advanced skills in fabrication and plant maintenance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a consistently strong safety performance and complies with MSHA, OSHA, and Company safety rules. 
  • Repairs and fabricates plant components by welding. 
  • Repairs and maintains plant machinery.   
  • Troubleshoots and communicates problems with equipment. 
  • Dismantle and reassembles equipment, using hoist, forklifts, cranes and hand tools.   
  • Fabricate liners, chutes, pipes, tables, mounts etc.  
  • Conducts pre-shift equipment inspections. 
  • Replaces defective parts effectively, efficiently and safely.  
  • Maintains a clean workspace. 
  • Exercises proper care and maintenance of company equipment. 
  • Tests equipment when done with work to ensure operating correctly.  
  • May operates light equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, and water trucks. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.   
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in machinery maintenance, repair, welding fabricating, and equipment operation preferred. 
  • Must have a current and valid drivers license. 
  • Must have the ability to interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions in English.   
  • Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate machine controls.   
  • Must be a capable welder. 
  • Heavy machinery mechanic experience preferred. 
  • Ability to utilize all tools, torches, and welding equipment. 
  • Alleyton Resource conducts post-conditional offer background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.
