Quality Control Technician

Elam Construction, a Summit Materials Company, is looking for a Quality Control Technician in our Construction Asphalt/Aggregate division in Grand Junction. This position will be responsible for testing aggregate materials for gradation and quality properties in accordance with test methods and specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Sample and test aggregate materials
- Monitor materials daily to ensure our products meet the specified requirements
- Follow quality control plans and guidelines
- Obtain required quality control certifications in a timely manner
- Record and repot tests in quality control database
- Safely perform all assigned work
- Safely drive a company vehicle
Skills & Experience
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and anywhere within our work area
- Previous testing/quality experience highly desired
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Able to read, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Excellent math skills are required
- Strong computer skills are required
