Overview

Location:  Martinsburg, WV

Roles & Responsibilities

⦁    Quarry technician employees will be expected to operate any equipment in the quarry (task training will be provided) for the schedule assigned. 
⦁    Fuel, oil, and grease as specified in the preventive maintenance instructions, and perform required equipment inspections and record-keeping. 
⦁    Operate quarry equipment designated by the foreman and make minor repairs. 
⦁    Keep equipment clean and orderly, and report any unusual operating or unsafe conditions to the supervisor. 
⦁    Adhere to all proper safety and operational procedures. 
⦁    Report any unusual conditions immediately to your supervisor. 
⦁    Perform various labor functions as assigned. 
⦁    Perform minor PM tasks, including lubrication and minor machine adjustments to belt conveyors and V belts. Perform housekeeping in areas of responsibility to ensure the plant and equipment are safe for operation and maintenance work. 
⦁    Workplace Inspections must be completed before the start of any work using the current FRA form. 
⦁    This list is not all-inclusive, and other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary for the facility's efficient operation. 


 
Education/Skills: 
 
HS Diploma/GED 
Heavy Machine Operator Experience (license preferred) 


 
Requirements: 


Complete online testing of technical skills  
Hands-on Testing  
In-Person Interview  
Ability to work in extreme heat and cold, exposed to external weather conditions Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions 
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen.

Frequent exposure to walking on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, high and/or confined spaces, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions and explosives. Occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) lbs. independently and tolerate moderate noise levels.
