Administrative Project Assistant 
Location: 4910 Old Airport Road, Moab, Utah 84532

 

LeGrand Johnson, a division of Summit Materials, is currently hiring for an Administrative Project Assistant to work in our Moab, Utah office. This position is responsible for the preparation of thorough, accurate and timely Billings, timecard approval, daily truck orders, job setup and other documentation assistance for construction projects.

 

An administrative project assistant uses good communication and organization skills to coordinate, produce and distribute thorough documentation and reports. They identify client needs and organize them into an actionable plan while also identifying budget requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Follow and report to the project manager on the progress of job setups and truck tracking.
  • Coordinate with employees and supervisors to correctly process timecards.
  • Evaluate and identify challenges and utilize resources to solve problems.
  • Coordinate with team members in planning the details of the upcoming project documentation.
  • Organize and track all projects.
  • Assist with the activities of the lead Project Manager/Estimator.
  • Contact subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty service companies for submittals.
  • Manage and help coordinate Change Orders and Extra Work requests.
  • Prepare bid documents for construction projects or services that are used by management in preparation for a project.
  • Must maintain client and contractor relations.
  • Assist with department activities and meetings.
  • Maintaining contact lists and filing system.
  • Other duties as assigned per supervisor. 
  • Experience with Fleetwatcher a plus

 

Skills & Experience   

  • 1-3 years previous experience in office administration.
  • Knowledge of earthwork construction, paving, underground, and grading practices preferred.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accuracy at all times.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of windows operating systems applications.
