Title: Sweeper Operator
Location: New Caney, TX
Reports To: Senior Manager
Compensation: $17.50-$19.50 HR / DOE

 

In the position of Sweeper Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty pickup trucks with 18ft trailers, loading and unloading equipment from trailers, and operating street sweepers. Your role will ensure that our facilities, yards, and job sites are clean and debris-free, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires management resources to adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, TCEQ, FMCSA, etc.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary.
  • Operate heavy-duty pickup trucks with 18ft trailers to transport equipment to and from job sites.
  • Safely load and unload equipment from trailers using proper lifting and securing techniques.
  • Must be able to safely lift 50lbs.
  • Operate street sweepers to clean roads, parking lots, and job sites, removing debris, dirt, and other materials to maintain cleanliness and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance on trucks, trailers, and street sweepers, including inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating equipment and performing tasks. Conduct pre-operational inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify any safety hazards or maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, dispatchers, and other team members to coordinate activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, operational activities, and fuel consumption as company policies and regulatory agencies require.
  • Operate equipment in an environmentally responsible manner, following company policies and regulatory requirements for waste disposal and pollution prevention.
