Overview

Location:  Newberry, FL

Compensation:  $27.00/hourly

Perform mechanical maintenance work on plant equipment used in all phases of manufacturing cement including structures and utilities.  This position supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Disassembly/rebuild of equipment and assembly after repair including testing 
• Preventive and predictive maintenance including Inspection and troubleshooting of equipment 
• Lubrication of equipment
• Cutting and welding as required 
• Operation of maintenance support equipment 
• Use of hand tools and power tools to perform work 
• Maintain all areas within high standards of cleanliness following all safety and environmental requirements 
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen

Physical Demands:

• Exert 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally and 25-50 lbs. of force frequently 
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling over irregular surfaces 
• Frequent reaching, handling, fingering and feeling 
• Talking and hearing to express ideas and receiving instruction 
• Seeing to operate equipment and observe operation and activity
•  Exposed to dusty conditions, high noise levels, high temperature and adverse weather conditions 
• Wear safety equipment-hard hat, safety glasses, hard toed shoes, gloves safety belts and line, seatbelts, life jacket, hearing protection, welding and cutting protection and respiratory protection as required(50) lbs. independently and tolerate moderate noise levels.
