Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location:  Oxford, KS

Reports to:  Plant Manager

The primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to; maintenance, troubleshooting, and  
mechanical repairs, to include cutting, welding, and fabrication. This position will require the ability to effectively diagnose and make mechanical repairs to various types of conveyors, feeders, hydraulic systems, pumps, chutes, bins, hoppers and other production components used in an aggregate facility, with limited supervision. Position may be expected to review lubrication reports and service records, as well as perform oil, lube and filter service on all assigned equipment as directed. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assists in equipment inspections and identifies conditions (wear, alignment, function, etc.) and monitors performance as directed; 
  • Reports plant and/or equipment conditions to appropriate personnel as required;
  • Thorough mechanical knowledge of crusher and related equipment; 
  • Analyzes malfunctions and repairs and rebuilds conveyors and crushing equipment; 
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, and failure analysis;  
  • Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirements;  
  • Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements, some noise; must have ability to work independently and problem-solve while working alone or as part of a team; 
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including some weekends and must be punctual in adhering to established start times.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must have at least 3 years experience; 
  • Be able to work long hours when required; 
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required; 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; 
  • High school graduate, G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience (preferred)
