Roles & Responsibilities

• Operates computerized control panel to produce hot mix, warm mix, and/ or cold mix asphalt to specification. Works inside enclosed control house to oversee processes
• supervises plant emploees, production and distribution of product
• Communicates with driver via radio
• Troubleshoots and communicates problems with ground crew
• Assists with machine maintenance and repairs
• Coordinates material deliveries including AC and aggregates
• Understands and implements Safety, Health and Environmental policies and regulations
• Works with QC/ QA Lab personnel to ensure that mix is produced to job specifications

Ability, Skills & Knowledge  

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Previous hot mix and cold mix asphalt production experience 
• Must have the ability to interpret and apply verbal and/ or written instruction 
• Must have good depth perception to operate machine controls
