Reports To: Operations Supervisor
Compensation: Market Value / DOE
Arizona Materials, a Summit Materials LLC company, is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position involves performing a variety of tasks related to general plant maintenance, maintenance of equipment operations, welding, cutting, and fabrication. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of batch plants to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns, including batch plants, conveyors, hoppers, and other plant equipment.
- Operate loaders to move materials and assist with plant operations as needed.
- Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Perform welding and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment (preferred but not required).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure minimal disruption during repairs or maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in plant maintenance or batch plant operations, required.
- Experience operating loaders for material handling and other plant activities, required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and repair mechanical and structural issues within the plant.
- Experience in welding and cutting operations, preferred
- Ability to fabricate parts and components for plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
- Loader experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
