Title: Plant Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Reports To: Operations Supervisor
Compensation: $28.00-$34.00 HR / DOE
Arizona Materials, a Summit Materials LLC company, is seeking a skilled Welder and Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position involves performing a variety of tasks related to welding, cutting, fabrication, equipment operation, and general plant maintenance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Proficiency in stick welding and cutting.
- Strong fabrication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Basic knowledge of operating heavy equipment.
- General knowledge of tools and their proper use.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- This position involves working in a plant environment with exposure to various physical and environmental conditions.
- The role may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Perform stick welding and cutting operations.
- Fabricate parts and components as needed for plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and structural issues within the plant.
- Operate loaders for material handling and other plant activities.
- Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
- Utilize a general knowledge of tools to carry out daily tasks effectively and safely.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and supervisors.
- Experience with crushers (not required, but a plus).
- Experience operating loaders (not required, but a plus).
