Location: Ocala, FL

Reports To: Blake Counts

 

The Quality Control (QC) Technician will be responsible for testing all products to ensure the quality during production and shipping. This position will interact with plant and pit operations to resolve any QC issues in a timely manner. This position will also ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The Quality Control (QC) Technician will report to the Production Supervisor and/or the Plant Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform required test on products as per testing schedule to ensure compliance with specifications during the production and shipping process. 
  • Take required action to resolve any quality problems in a timely manner. 
  • Document testing and maintain accurate testing files. 
  • Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility. 
  • Assist with plant operations as needed. 
  • Promote Safety.  
  • Ensure plant and personnel are adhering to company safety policies and government compliance with OSHA and MSHA through training and daily safety inspections. 
  • Accompany OSHA\MSHA inspectors and participate in conferencing and review process.  
  • Assist managers and safety committees in the preparation of safe job instructions for all jobs. 
  • Assist in empowering local management, safety committees and employees at plant sites to perform safety inspections, program audits, accident investigations, and safety administrative procedures. 
  • Participate in accident investigation of accidents. 
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions as requested. 
  • Fly Drone/ upload flight info/QC flight accuracy & circle stockpiles for inventory purposes.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in industry; effective reading/writing/math skills; proficient computer skills; working knowledge of MSHA/OSHA; self-starter with ability to work with little or no supervision.
