Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of ready-mixed concrete products by managing key accounts, developing new business, leading the sales team, and coordinating with operations to ensure customer satisfaction, profitability, and timely project execution.
Pay is dependant on experince and will be discussed during the hriing process.
Role & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase ready-mix concrete sales and market share across multiple market segments.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, developers, and infrastructure projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key decision-makers.
- Prepare and negotiate quotations, contracts, and pricing in line with company policies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales teams to achieve targets.
- Set sales targets and KPIs; monitor performance and take corrective actions.
- Participate in regular sales meetings and assist performance review.
- Customer & Project Coordination.
- Coordinate with production, dispatch, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Support major project execution from tender stage through completion.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic sales reports.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in ready-mix concrete or construction materials sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of concrete products, mix designs, and construction practices.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Customer-focused with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic plans.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
Working Conditions
