Title: Concrete Lab Technician
Location: West Valley City, Utah
Reports To: Research and Development Manager
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00

Overview:

Altaview Concrete, a Summit Materials LLC company, is seeking a Concrete Lab Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for following quality control standards to ensure that raw materials, concrete mix designs, and concrete products are vetted to meet companies' and customers' expectations in both field and laboratory environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist Research and Development Manager in trial batching concrete mix designs  
• Assist Research and Development Manager in maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Assist Research and Development Manager in vetting new concrete materials/additives
• Perform quality check tests on concrete in the plastic and hardened state 
• Record, analyze, and enter data acquired through testing
• Use test results to make recommendations on product changes
• Gather and prepare material from various concrete plants throughout the Salt Lake area
• Assist field technicians with daily operations when required
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Lab and/or field testing of concrete experience is preferred
• Ability to drive a company vehicle from the lab to other locations
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Computer proficiency and the ability to comprehend written quality standards
