Hot Plant Load Out Attendant and Utility Person

West Valley, UT

 We are looking for a Load Out Attendant and Utility Person at the Asphalt Hot Plant in West Valley City, Utah.

Roles & Responsibilities

SUMMARY

• Load Asphalt materials into trucks. Siloed material into truck
• Coordinate with jobs on remaining materials needed to be delivered
• Coordinate with the HMA plant operator on remaining materials needed
• When the Plant is down you will be required to help get the plant repaired and back up and running, any and all tasks involved (shoveling, belt repairs, screen changes, etc.
• Ensure the plant is clean and the housekeeping of the plant meets company expectations
• Complete basic maintenance tasks and inspection logs
• Look for opportunities to improve the site
• Begin Training to operate as needed: (no specific timetable)
  • Skid steer
  • Water Truck
  • Plant Operation

Skills and Abilities

Experience Required

• None Required

Bilingual Skills

• Spanish Highly Preferred

Computer Skills

• Will be operating Windows-based programs to input truck ID information, load trucks, and track job progression.

Training Required (provided by Kilgore Companies)

• Required Safety Training
• Site-Specific Training, including site inspection training
• Task training for applicable equipment

Additional Information

Daily Duties

• Input truck ID information into the system.
• Load asphalt materials from the silo to the truck via a computer-operated system.
• Coordinate with job sites and the HMA plant operator on material needs.
• Perform daily equipment inspections.
• Operate equipment as needed:
  • Equipment must be operated safely and efficiently.
  • The operator shall always maintain control of the equipment.
  • Do not idle equipment when not in use—turn it off.
  • Keep the cab clean, wiped down, and maintained.
• Conduct site observations:
  • Constant and consistent plant monitoring and inspecting while completing other tasks.
• Perform plant maintenance:
  • Basic preventative maintenance as assigned by the Lead Man and Site Manager.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inspection logs.
