Parts Runner

Overview

Kilgore, a Summit Materials Company, is looking for a parts runner in our shop division. This position involves the picking up of parts from vendors and suppliers and delivery back to the jobsite or shop.  In this capacity, the courier may also be required to deliver and pick up items to and from other businesses and other duties as assigned. 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with parts manager to acquire needed parts. 
• Communicate effectively with any discrepancies. 
• Good understanding of and following processes to accomplish tasks. 
• Manage time for all required tasks by deadlines. 
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.) 
• Work with suppliers and shippers to work through identified mistakes. 
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control. 

Requirements and skills 

• Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data. 
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations. 
• Basic math and recording abilities. 
• Excellent organizational skills. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
• A keen eye for detail. 
• Time management skills. 
• Identify priorities and act accordingly. 
• High school diploma. 
• Proven driving skills and an acceptable driving record are required. 
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction. 
• Basic computer skills, data entry and filing.
