POSITION OVERVIEW

We currently have an opening for a Construction Superintendent in the Salt Lake area. This position is primarily responsible for supervising the field construction of a project and to completing the work on schedule, within budget and to the quality of workmanship specified

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project
• Ensures that all personnel assigned to their crew comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc
• Ability to plan ahead to order and arrange for delivery or pick up of materials that are required to complete the scope of work according to the schedule
• Completes daily reports such as units complete, safety reports, EEO meetings and weekly unit cost worksheets
• Maintain professional attitude with owners, inspectors, public, and company personnel
• Exceptional safety record with strong understanding of OSHA requirements and regulations.
• Proven track record of success.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisors

Skills & Experience   

• 5+ years of related experience working on commercial construction earthwork projects
• Ability to supervise earthwork/site work construction projects from general plans and instructions given and to determine the proper amounts of various materials, tools, and personal equipment needed
• 5+ years of Construction/Project Management experience in a civil construction environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Project) & other computer skills
• Able and willing to work long hours including day, night, weekend shifts as needed, and work outside of normal hours
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
